Sew & Steady
Prices Vary by Class or Level Series
Whether you are new to garment sewing or a tried and true veteran, there is a class for you. There are four levels of classes, with increasing difficulty and complexity designed to enhance and build your garment sewing skills.
Sewing machine experience is required before you take these classes. If you need to learn how to use a machine, please take Sewing 101 before you join Sew and Steady.
-
We provide machines with the class! You do not need to own a sewing machine to take this class. However, if you have your own machine we encourage you to bring it. That way, you can learn on your own machine!
-
Scroll down! You should see our calendar of listings. Just click on which days and times you want, and it will take you directly to the registration page.
-
Unfortunately, no. You need to be able to thread a machine and wind a bobbin, as well as sew in a straight (ish) line. If you can’t do the above, please take Sewing 101— The Basics first!
-
Unfortunately, no. Level 2 and up have skills more complicated than our level 1 classes. In order to reach level 2, at least two level 1 courses must be taken. Similarly, in order to reach level 3, at least two level 2 classes must be taken.
-
We offer credit for cancelled classes. We can absolutely transfer you to another class!
Unfortunately, we do charge a late cancellation/transfer fee if you give us less than 24 hour notice. We do waive the fee on a case-by-case basis (such as for emergencies), but we cannot waive the fee if we don’t know. Please call us at (210) 375-5241 if you can’t make your class!
-
Depends. If the what you want to make is considered an accessory (ex. aprons, bags, hats) then it won’t be in Sew & Steady. Check out our Upcycling and Sew EZ series!
If what you want to make still doesn’t have a class, then you can book a private lesson!
